Hello once again!
Today is officially my first REAL Prep day because the first Saturday was my first P day so I couldn't utilize the whole day because I had no idea what I was doing. The second Saturday was General Conference. And then there is today, so today is the first official one.
Nothing too crazy happened during the week, I got another companion so now I am in a trio. He is pretty cool, we get along great.
On Thursday I woke up feeling absolutely horrible, and fought being sick the whole day. I drank water, some soda, and played it easy. I woke up the next day, felt fine again. So, not sure what I had but hopefully I don't get it again.
Class is going well. We have a lot of studying and preparing to do. We now have 2 investigators we teach every other day and its getting easier and easier to teach through the Spirit. Little by little but we have had some really cool experiences in the "member's home". Our teachers are really cool and they are great at motivating us and getting us to get up and do the work. So far, I have not fallen asleep in any class or devotional which is great but we are all really tired and we try not to take naps. I took one on the day I wasn't feeling good but I didn't really fall asleep, I just kind of laid there.
The language is difficult, but we keep getting better each day. I can understand a lot but its hard to rearrange the words to make the structure of the sentences and to conjugate them so that they make sense. I still try to make them into an English structure by adding too many small words, but I forget that in Spanish, depending on the conjugation the small words like "will you" or "can you" are included in the conjugated verb and the tone of voice.
Oh! So my favorite pass time during gym time is to go out to the field and play soccer. It is REALLY fun. We have a standing rivalry with the Japanese. A friendly one and we don't keep score but its still awesome to have something really competitive like that instead of a rousing game of four square in the gymnasium. During one of these heated soccer games, I somehow got kicked in the rib while I was playing soccer and I am pretty sure I bruised it. There is a bruise on my right side about the size of my palm and it hurts to twist my abdomen. If it gets any worse I will probably go see the doctor here.
Speaking of services, I got my haircut here the other day. It was free and they did a pretty good job. I was impressed.
That's basically it!
I love you all,
thank you for the letters,
keep 'em coming!
Elder Moore
